Biographies

Dr. Marcus Okamura, veterinarian, graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) in 1982, consolidating his training with a master's degree in Veterinary Surgery from the same institution in 2001. Since 1986, he has been a partner and owner of the Dr. Okamura Veterinary Hospital, where he provides specialized services in clinical medicine and surgery.

Academic background

He was a full professor at the Moura Lacerda School of Veterinary Medicine between 1999 and 2001, teaching subjects such as Clinical Acupuncture, Fundamentals of Acupuncture and Surgical Pathology. He also taught at the University of Franca, where he taught Physiotherapy and Anesthesiology in the Veterinary Medicine course. In addition, he was a professor at the François La Marsson Institute in 1996, dedicating himself to training specialists in Veterinary Acupuncture.

Complementary training

Dr. Marcus Okamura has extensive experience in technical training, having trained students from several universities between 1996 and 1998 in clinical medicine and surgery for small animals. His career also includes a stint at Fazenda Rochfer Ltda., where he worked as a veterinarian from 1985 to 1989, developing activities in management, health and physiopathology of reproduction in herds.
