Therax Plus is a broad-spectrum dewormer indicated for dogs, acting against adult and larval forms of various intestinal parasites, including ascarids, hookworms, whipworms and cestodes. It is especially effective against nematodes (roundworms) and cestodes (flatworms), such as Dipylidium caninum, Toxocara canis, Trichuris vulpis, Ancylostoma caninum, Echinococcus granulosus, Taenia spp., among others. Each Therax Plus tablet contains Praziquantel (100 mg), Pyrantel Pamoate (288 mg), Febantel (300 mg) and excipients, totaling 1320 mg per tablet in the larger presentation. Dosage and method of use: Oral administration in a single dose, which can be mixed with meat or feed, without the need for prior fasting. The dose varies according to the animal's weight: for the 1320 mg tablet, half a unit is recommended for dogs weighing up to 10 kg and one tablet for up to 20 kg; for the 660 mg tablet, half a unit for up to 5 kg and one tablet for up to 10 kg. Puppies should be dewormed at the ages of 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks and at 4, 5 and 6 months. Adult dogs should be dewormed every 3 months. Females should be dewormed before mating and 10 days before giving birth. A booster dose is recommended 15 days after the initial deworming for greater effectiveness. Since Dipylidium caninum has fleas as its intermediate host, it is advisable to also treat the environment and the animal with flea control to prevent reinfestations. Therax Plus is a registered and prescription veterinary medicine manufactured by UCBVet, indicated for dogs of all sizes and ages, including puppies, adults and seniors. In short, Therax Plus is an effective, broad-spectrum dewormer for controlling intestinal worms in dogs, with a formulation that combines three active ingredients to combat a variety of common parasites, facilitating the health management of domestic animals.
