DEFENZA red is a veterinary medicine in chewable tablet form indicated for dogs, used in the treatment of infestations by fleas (Ctenocephalides felis and Tunga penetrans), ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus) and mites that cause demodectic mange (Demodex canis) and otodectic mange (Otodectes cynotis). It provides up to 37 days of protection against fleas and ticks and up to 30 days against mange. Composition Each 1 g of the product contains 54.6 mg of fluralaner, the active ingredient responsible for the ectoparasiticidal action. Presentation and dosage Oral chewable tablet, single dose, should not be broken or divided. Available in different concentrations for dogs of different weights, including tablets that are suitable for dogs from 2 kg to over 56 kg, with dosage adjusted according to body weight. Directions for use Oral administration, single dose. For dogs weighing more than 56 kg, a combination of tablets may be used to approximate the correct dose. Precautions Do not use in dogs with hypersensitivity to the product, Collie dogs, puppies under 8 weeks old or weighing less than 2 kg, pregnant or lactating women, unless under veterinary guidance.
